    Blurb

When the Bantry's wake to find the body of a beautiful young stranger in their library, Dolly Bantry knows there's only one person to call: her old friend Miss Marple.

Who was the young girl? What was she doing in the library? And is there a connection with another dead girl, whose charred remains are discovered in an abandoned quarry?

Miss Marple must solve the mystery, before tongues start to wag, and the murderer strikes again.

    My thought

This cleverly written mystery follows a shrewd and intelligent older woman on her quest to solve a murder that implicates her best friend. She doesn't bat an eye over the gory details of the girls death, and even studies the crime scene and body for clues, but her true gift is in reading people; especially those that don't want to be read

I love how humorous these stories are, even while dealing with brutal murders. Miss Marple's and Mrs. Bantry's comments are quite funny. And, of course, the plot was absolutely genius.

Nice  mystery and as with Miss Marple's series, lots of things are based on how the woman's instincts and an old woman's experience guides her to find the criminals. Christie really is the Queen of mystery writing. It really shows in this book. Though it's not my favorite of her's, it is really good and worth reading. The plot is very well thought out, and almost no one can guess the ending!

Nevertheless, it is still a good mystery.
