Donate Body to Science. Check.
When seventeen-year-old Kaitlyn checked the box, she never suspected she’d have her life–and her body–stolen from her. She awakens one day in a secret laboratory to discover that her body is now half-robot and is forced to hide her own secret: that she still has human emotions and a human mind. If the scientists who made her find out, they’ll erase what remains of who she was.

Kaitlyn finds an unlikely ally in Lucas, a handsome, brilliant scientist who can’t get over the guilt he feels knowing she was once a vibrant, beautiful young woman. He never expected a science project to affect him the way she does. As he tries to help her rediscover her past, he finds himself falling for the brave girl struggling to find her place and acceptance between the human and computer worlds.

My thought
This book is very readable and a little bit entertaining
the novel introduces us to an innocent cyborg, Kaitlyn. At first, she is seemingly incapable of feeling emotions. Crane does a wonderful job in making her feel more believable with internalization --Her perceptions and sensations --which characterizes her more than the technical details of cyborgs
Lucas is a scientist, young and gorgeous. Lucas is troubled with the idea of what they have done to Kaitlyn. But at the same time he know it’s a huge step forward for his career. He did not count on having feelings for her as well. He has been there every step of the way from the very beginning. He knows a lot more of her than ant one know and has even saved her memories.
This is my first story to read by Julia Crane and I was thoroughly impressed. This was a new and unique storyline and I really enjoyed all of it. Your heart just hurts for poor Kate, who you still think of as a real girl. She is a great main character and you want things to work out for her! Kaitlyn grows up right before your eyes. She morphs into a wonderful women who uses her past experience to help others.
