In each of the Chimera Box books, a child jumps into a magical box and allows their imagination to transform them into a different character.  In order for this transformation to take place, each child must find the hero within.

The first book in the series - War of the Gods - sees our hero, Justin, realising his dreams of becoming the best Greco-Roman warrior around!

It looks like another boring rainy day for Justin.  That is until he sees his new Chimera Box!  When Justin jumps inside the box his dreams of becoming the best Greco-Roman warrior will come true.

Justin will travel to dangerous lands, come face to face withterrifying creatures, and prepare for his most challenging battle of all…

With the guidance of Goddess Gaea, will Justin have the courage and tenacity to confront Hades and Cronus?  Will he have the stregnth to fight the Cyclops?  Will he be able to fulfil the prophecy and save all the trapped and defenseless gods from the wrath of Zeus and Jupiter?

Come and join Justin in his action-packed adventure…

My opinion
This book is incredibly inspirational for teaching children about history, myths and letting their imaginations run wild. The story is based on a magical Chimero box which looks like an orfdinary cardboard box, but in actual fact it releases the character of the book on an extreme adventure of his imagination. It’s very easy to read with short chapters.
So amazing that these 2 young gentlemen and their mother wrote this, we cannot wait for the next book to come out and find out Justin's next adventure and watch these two young authors grow!
So it is a great short adventure book for kids. It's a great read for elementary school aged children and will keep them entertained page-by-page with their imaginations engaged! It's filled with adventure while being both fun and educational.
