One minute, silly Heather Badcock had been babbling on at her movie idol, the glamorous Marina Gregg. The next, Heather suffered a massive seizure, poisoned by a deadly cocktail.
It seems likely that the cocktail was intended for the beautiful actress. But, whilst the police fumble to find clues, Miss Marple begins to ask her own questions, because as she knows- even the most peaceful village can hide dark secrets.

My thought
Slow at the beginning because of too many misleads and dead-ends but it worked for a very surprising ending, Jane Marple's deductions at the end was brilliant! This is one of my all time favorites by Agatha Christie. Everything about it makes for the perfect mystery - not only do I love most of the Miss Marple stories, but this one has a more complex twist to the mystery itself and it includes details of Miss Marple's life that were never described in previous novels. Agatha Christie manages to write a mystery that is not only a thriller, but also a comedy and a love story.
